Just wanted to post some of the best inspirations that I get from certain sources. The first article is all about Kooan Kosuke, a Japanese fashion designer. Kooan was on season 10 of Project Runway, and I loved what he wore so much that I was really inspired to start designing because of him. He is just so hilarious, you just can't help laughing at what he does. He is so perfectly hilarious, it is incredible. His clothes are really cool, I am just so inspired by them. He is a really great fashion designer too, and he has a great sense of humor. You can check out his blog here (http://kooan.blogspot.com/) and please do. His fashion blog is so awesome, he is a really incredible person. I love Kooan's designs. I really don't think that he should have left Project Runway!!! Kooan, you are a great designer, and if you ever looked at this blog I would be so happy!

Review: 42nd Street
Okay, I think that I have to say that I loved 42nd Street. The acting was amazing, the singing was incredible, and the dancing was out of this world, but what really struck me were the costumes. These costumes just looked so real, and the fabric was beautiful. If only I could post more pictures for you to see; unfortunately, I can only post this one. The fabrics in this picture, first of all, are so incredible. This dress in particular, a french blue piece with decorative sequins, was so designed that when the main character, Alessa Neeck, twirled, it moved like water around her. It was amazing experience and a great opportunity for a young designer such as I. It will never be forgotten in my mind. And then the leading man, Tyler Hanes; his outfits were so amazing. Not this one in particular, but a sequined silver jacket that looked beautiful in the song "We're in the Money." When he twirled, it twirled with him, so that he looked like a top spinning across the stage as we watched. Dorothy Brock's outfits must have been a challenge to create; with thousands of fringes, sequins, and slippery, difficult-to-sew fabrics, they were quite the elaborate costumes. I applaud the costume designers at MSMT for their eloquent costumes. You can visit their costume design website at http://msmtcostumes.org/ and please do; it is really a great website. Anyway, I loved MSMT's production of 42nd Street, and I would really recommend anyone who is in Maine dropping by to see their theater productions, and to buy a season ticket. I love MSMT!
Also, I've decided on a set schedule for my updates! I will now be updating on Fridays and Tuesdays. I might add a couple of posts in between, and not update a couple times on the right schedule, but for now you can count on Fri. and Tues. for the posts. Thank you all for reading!

First Post
Hello everybody! My name is Cleo, and I am an artist. I play with fashion design, and this is what my blog is about. Basically, I'm an a aspiring fashion designer (someday Project Runway!) and I hope a lot of people will see my blog, like it, and tell their friends about me so that someday I can be a major fashion designer. I tend to design for a young, teenage aesthetic, being a teenager myself, and I play with interesting colors and designs that are a kind of hybrid between Japanese street clothes and normal teenage wear. I tend to reject mainstream fashion and I love jumpsuits and overalls. A jumpsuit hoodie is my go-to design when I'm feeling stumped, so you will see a lot of that fun, funky mix in my clothes. I'm also a lover of very indie, very retro music, so if I post a link to a playlist of mine, it will probably have a lot of indie bands, like Death Cab for Cutie and Modest Mouse, and there is also a lot of Beatles, and . I love that kind of music. Also, I might post pictures of my designs (copyrighted by me, not for public use) and pictures of actual clothing if I ever get around to making them. I might take pictures of my inspirations, like designer clothes, layouts, and pictures of pretty much anything. I'm not updating this blog consistently, but I'll try to update every weekend, if that works out with my school schedule. Thanks for reading!
